Out of the Brew is a 5-person VR collaborative project built over the course of 2 months. Each member fulfilled a role in the development process, each following their own desired specialization. Our group used Agile Scrum and the iterative design process when prototyping and developing this experience.

I was in charge of art direction, game design, as well as backend gameplay programming: handling VR implementation and driving the visual identity of the game.

I really enjoyed working in VR for this project, especially experimenting with Oculus' (new at the time) hand-tracking features. Our prompt was to create a game that would be successful in the next 10 years, so we implemented a new feature with an already growing gaming platform (VR). Overall, this project was a great experience to get used to VR game development and creating assets that best suited the platform and gameplay, as well as designing with experimental tech and creating functional gameplay systems around it.
